History
We are proud to be a family run business, with Directors Ellie, Roger and Sheila Hill taking over the ownership of Woodheath in February 2020. As a family we have owned and operated care homes for over 30 years and are passionate about delivering excellent quality care in a homely environment. You will often see Ellie at the Home with her cockerpoo, Ziggy.
About Woodheath
We are a 61 bed Home, providing majority en-suite accommodation in the heart of Upton village on the Wirral.
Our overall aim is to ensure that every resident has the highest possible quality of life when living with us at Woodheath. All residents are treated with respect and their individual needs planned for and taken care of. We run a very thorough recruitment process to ensure that our staff share our same values and are trained to the highest level.
We provide person centred care. Residents take part in individual and team based activities with our amazing activities co-ordinator, Khristine. You will see many photos and videos of her on our Facebook page. Our activities programme is tailor made and delivered by sensitive and experienced professionals.
External musicians, performers, educators and day trips are organised. We also want to ensure that a strong relationship with the local community is maintained and assist with intergenerational socialisation.
Each resident receives the appropriate care they deserve, and not be subject to prejudices based on gender, race, religion, sexuality, political affiliation, marital status, parenthood and disabilities or impairments.
To ensure that all residents, family, staff and friends receive the opportunity to voice their concerns and feedback. Our management team will take all feedback on board and look to always be improving on the care and services that we provide.
All residents will receive nutritious, and high-quality meals every day. Individual diets will be delivered based on each resident’s requirements.
The Management Team ensures that the Home is managed efficiently and sensibly to ensure the successful running of the Home. We involve and support family and friends throughout the resident’s time at the Home.
Our Staff
Woodheath recognises that in order to maintain our high level of quality care and services to residents that the same level of care and importance should be applied to our staff.
We employ qualified and dedicated nurses and care workers and adopt a structured staff development programme ensuring that regular reviews are conducted and effective training takes place whenever necessary.
At Woodheath we have a very low turnover of staff and only ever use agency as a very last resort, this means that we have the continuity of care that our residents thoroughly enjoy.
